Joule's team recently had the opportunity to join our colleagues at the Amicus Solar Cooperative semi-annual meeting. The group, which is a collective of 33 independent solar power companies, is dedicated to sharing best practices. We’re proud to be part of Amicus for many reasons.
First, becoming a member of Amicus is not easy. The group is comprised of the highest-rated solar companies throughout the country, many of which hold A+ ratings on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau and have the largest concentration of NABCEP Certified employees in their respective regions. Among the characteristics Amicus looks for when selecting members are industry longevity, financial strength, quality workmanship, and an excellent reputation. Clients who go solar with Amicus can rest assured that they are going solar with a reputable company.
Additionally, the members work together to share information and best practices that can’t be found at any conference or trade show, further boosting our operational efficiency and quality of service. And by banding together to improve our buying power, we have the ability to get lower prices for our customers. Going solar with an Amicus member means that you can take advantage of superior products and financing options, as well as an overall satisfying experience.
More importantly, the values of Amicus member companies closely mirror those of our own. As a certified B-Corporation, we regularly partner with peers to promote an understanding of the benefits of solar power for the greater good. From advocating for corporate sustainability to finding ways to help our local community, we believe that we can achieve so much more through cooperation and respect.
Amicus's democratic structure promotes this cooperation. Each member has one vote and an equal share in Amicus ownership. Member organizations must also abide by an open-book management strategy that encourages 100% transparency within their corporate structure. Finally, Amicus partners with a preferred list of vendors that must meet rigorous guidelines of transparency and fairness.
As Joule Energy continues to grow as the Gulf South's leading solar provider, we’re excited that our affiliation with Amicus will allow us to continue our commitment to providing our clients with quality. We know that you will benefit from the extensive industry knowledge our participation will bring. And everyone wins from the group pricing that we receive.
Visit the Amicus Solar website for more information on the cooperative. And if you are interested in solar power but not located in the Southeast, the Amicus website is a great place to find a member near you.
